The Collab Lab: A Collaborative Room for Entrepreneurs to Do, Not Just to Talk

Updated: Mar 23

If you’ve ever walked into a networking event and thought, "This is nice… but what are we actually doing and what happens next?" You’re not alone.

Over the past few years, I’ve spent a lot of time in rooms with other business owners. Some of those rooms were incredible. Others were… less memorable. Eventually I started paying attention to why. The biggest difference wasn’t the people in the room.

It was the purpose of the room.

Some rooms existed to socialize. Some rooms existed to exchange referrals. Some rooms existed to inspire. Some rooms tried to do it all and others had no idea what they were trying to do at all.

What I noticed was very few rooms are built for moving something forward in real time. That’s why I created The Collab Lab.

What the Collab Lab Is

The Collab Lab is a monthly coworking membership for business owners who want to build knowledge around a focused topic and immediately apply it. Each gathering has two main parts:

Part 1 — A Short Learning Segment

We start with a focused topic around building, running, or maintaining a business.

Topics might include things like:

• simple systems

• client experience

• collaboration

• content creation

• workflows

The goal isn’t to overwhelm you with theory or add something else to your plate. The goal isn't even to inspire you (but it's cool when it happens). It’s to bring to your attention to or introduce one practical concept that can help your business run more smoothly if you had time to build, implement, or refine it.

Part 2 — Work Time

After the short discussion, the room shifts into work mode. This is where the magic happens. Instead of leaving with a notebook full of ideas, participants actually start implementing or refining something while they’re still in the room.

That might look like:

• drafting a new email template

• mapping a simple workflow

• building a content template

• rebuilding a client process

• outlining a collaboration idea

The room becomes a place where momentum doesn't just happen, it becomes a force.

Why This Room Exists

Most business gatherings focus on conversation. Conversation is valuable — but it doesn’t always translate into progress.

The Collab Lab exists because ideas need space to become action. Sometimes the most helpful thing isn’t another strategy.

It’s simply:

• a structured environment

• other people working nearby

• a little accountability

• a dedicated block of time

That combination can unlock more progress than you expect.

Who the Collab Lab Is For

The Collab Lab is designed for women of all talents and skills who want to move their business forward in practical ways.

You don’t need to have everything figured out. You don't need an introduction. You don't need talking points prepared. You don't even need an existing task list. You just need to be willing to:

• show up

• think through your next step

• and work on it

The room works best when people come ready to experiment and apply.

What to Expect

Our gatherings are intentionally simple. You can expect a welcoming environment, thoughtful discussion, focused work time, and supportive conversation.

There’s no pressure to pitch or perform. Just a room of people actively building things.

When We Meet

The Collab Lab meets once a month for an in person coworking session in Central, Louisiana. Each session is two hours long and the goal is simple: You leave the room having actually moved something forward in your business.
